10 THINGS THAT I LOVE ABOUT MEXICO, AND WHY I HAVE DECIDED TO MAKE MEXICO MY HOME

What is it like living in Mexico...

1) The woman of Mexico are so beautiful
They care about themselves. They take time to make themselves beautiful and womanly. Some men say that this is not important any longer. I think they are saying this because they think they should, politically correct, "liberal" Americans. I strongly disagree, and I like women the way they are, beautiful, sensual and loving.

2) Family values are a cherished and important part of life here in Mexico
The family is central to many things in Mexico, and this makes Mexicans stronger inside. Family matters are of utmost importance. Families follow each of its members in life. Also, the funerals here are fast and done with pride, honor and brevity. They let go fast but they hold on forever. We give it honor and enthusiasm but include the appreciation for the higher self.

3) The food. In Mexico the food is just brighter, more appetizing and something to enjoy. Most men in Mexico can cook, but women tend to be very accomplished in the kitchen.

4) Spontaneous outings, visits and parties. In Mexico people tend take time to visit with each other and make parties. Mexicans are very open and welcoming to strangers and Americans.

5) Hospitality in every town. From the first day I arrived in Mexico I have been constantly amazed at the way I have been greeted, welcomed and invited to participate in homes, even when I was a complete stranger.

6) The beaches in Mexico are wonderful. Warm, sunny, inviting and peaceful is how I would describe the beaches in this extra warm country.

7) The Music makes you want to dance and sing along. There are many genres, and people are always listening. Spontaneous dancing at all parties is normal and a lot of fun!

8) The hot sauce! There are many distinctions, colors, flavors and levels of hot sauce to choose from. They add a sort of addictive quality to many of the foods of Mexico.

9) Dancing at all of the parties. Most parties have music and most parties have dancing. People are not shy and there is no right way to dance, but learning the basics of Mexican dance is good idea.

10) Recreation on the weekends. Most families have something happening on the weekends and going to the beach, parks (there are many parks in most cities), and cultural attractions are very common. People smile and laugh together and will start conversations with complete strangers.
